Russia Pereslavl-Zalesski mass UFO sighting — combat intercept dispatched
On March 21, 1990, Russian Air Defense Forces commander General Igor Maltsev summarized over 100 visual sightings of UFOs in the Pereslavl-Zalesski region east of Moscow, and reported the dispatch of combat aircraft to intercept. The objects were described as discs 100-200 meters in diameter with two pulsating lights, rotating around their axis, performing S-turn maneuvers in both vertical and horizontal planes, hovering, and then flying at speeds two to three times that of modern jet fighters. No sound accompanied movement. General Maltsev stated the objects appeared to be 'completely devoid of inertia.'
“According to the evidence of these eyewitnesses, the UFO is a disk with a diameter from 100 to 200 meters. Two pulsating lights were positioned on its sides... the object rotated around its axis and performed an 'S-turn' flight both in the vertical and horizontal planes. Next the UFO hovered above the ground and then flew with a speed exceeding that of the modern jet fighter by two or three times.”
